This morning we visit Old Delhi, built in the 17th century by Shah Jehan the Magnificent (who also built the Taj Mahal). First we will be visiting the famous Jama Masjid mosque with its 9,000 sq. ft. courtyard, three domes and two minarets, and then proceed to the massive complex known as the Red Fort.

Afternoon we'll visit Lakshmi Narayan Temple, a Spectacular structure that's just 60 years old , and then proceed via India Gate and the Governmental building to Qutab Minar, the 240 foot tower built in 1190 to commemorate the arrival of Islam in India, the Bahai Temple with its nine pools on an elevated platform, and the Crafts Museum, which replicates and Indian street with over 50 artists and craftspeople at work. DAY 03 DELHI - JAIPUR( BY SURFACE)
After Breakfast Today we drive towards Jaipur popularly known as the Pink City, was built in 1727 AD by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II. Designed in accordance with Shilp Shastra - an ancient Hindu treatise on architecture - Jaipur follows a grid system. Upon arrival check in your Hotel. Afternoon - tour of City Palace and Observatory. The City Palace in the heart of the old city is a blend of Rajasthan and Mughal architecture. The Palace of winds - a five storied structure of pink sandstone has semi-octagonal and delicately honeycombed windows overlooking the main street of the old city. DAY 04 JAIPUR
The capital of Rajasthan is the most colourful city in India. Today morning we visit the Amber Fort in the Aravali Hills, which is a super example of Rajput (Medieval Hindu) style architecture. A slow elephant ride takes us to the top of the Fort, which houses several graceful buildings. Afternoon is spent visit the local bazaar.

In the evening, we visit Chokhi Dhani where an ethnic village atmosphere is recreated each evening with thousands of oil lamps, folk dancers, arobats, snake charmers, puppeteers etc. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 05 JAIPUR - Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikiri - AGRA( BY SURFACE)
This morning travel to Bharatpur for a tour of the world famous bird sanctuary here. The reserve bosts of river 300 species of resident and migratory birds. From here we drive to the ancient city of Fatehpur Sikri ( ghost capital) for a tour of the magnificent and world heritage buildings still in a state of perfect preservation. We continue our journey for Agra and upon arrival check into Hotel.

DAY 06 AGRA
Agra was the capital of India under the Moghuls in the 16th and 17th centuries. This morning we see the exquisite tomb of the emperor Jehangir's chief minister and father-in - law, often called the 'BABY TAJ' because its design foreshadows the Taj Mahal. Then we tour Agra's Red Fort, built over three generations by the moghul emperors. Following an afternoon free, we go at sunset to see the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum built by a sorrowing Shah Jehan in memory of his young wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Building's stupendous scale, flawless symmetry, translucent white marble and shimmering reflection in the water channel are truly breathtaking. Overnight at Hotel .

DAY 07 AGRA - GWALIOR- ORCHHA( BY SURFACE)
Morning after breakfast we are continue our drive towards Orchha via Gwalior . Orchha a place that makes one feel the pulse of warm soul of India with temples, magnificent palaces, splendid cenotaphs and river betwa gurgling through zero pollution surrounding where TIME slumbers for good.

DAY 08 ORCHHA- KHAJURAHO( BY SURFACE)
Morning drive to Khajuraho. Upon arrival we are transferred to our prebooked hotel. Afternoon tour the spectaular ninth to thirteenth century temples of Khajuraho, built by Chandela kings, The temples are exquisitely carved with graceful statues and frieze gods and goddesses.

DAY 09 KHAJURAHO - VARANASI( BY FLIGHT )
Today we take a short flight to the Varanasi. Upon arrival we are met and transferred to our prebooked hotel . In the afternoon proceed to the village of Sarnath on the outskirts of town. It was in this Deer Park that the Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Visit the Park and Museum.. Sarnath was made a centre of Buddhist worship by the emperor Ashoka in the 3rd century BC. We will visit the Main Shrine and Ashoka's Pillar. In the Archaeological Museum we will see the beautifully carved capital from the pillar along with many other priceless Buddhist artifacts. The highlight of this tour would be a participation in the evening Aarti ( prayer service) at the main Buddhist temple here.

DAY 10 VARANASI
Varanasi formerly known as Benares, is the city where the Hindu faithful come to bathe in the sacred waters of the Ganges . Early this morning get ready for a dawn boat ride on the river Ganges. The Ganges is the most sacred and venerated river in India. Besides the ritualistic aspect of Hinduism ( thread ceremony, head shaving food to the departed souls etc.) also see the bathing. Laundry and the cremations of the dead that take place here on the banks of the river. After the boat ride walk through the fascinating narrow twisting lanes of the city to watch the performance of various Hindu rituals by the pilgrims.

After the boat trip on the Ganges we return back to the hotel. After breakfast we will proceed for a city tour . Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight at the Hotel.

DAY 11 VARANASI - DELHI( BY FLIGHT )

1300 to 1400 hours
Proceed to Hotel Trident in Agra where a sumptuous buffet lunch awaits you.

1400 to 1500 hours
After lunch visit the Agra Fort built in red sandstone with its magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and the beautiful gardens. This is where Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from across the river Jamuna.

1500 to 1530 hours
Visit to a marble factory to see the beautiful inlay of precious and semi precious stones into the marble.

Finally before driving back to Delhi, one can make a brief visit to Sikandra the tomb of the Mughal Emperor Akbar, a magnificent garden tomb. Return to Delhi around 2130 hours stopping midway for refreshments.

Day 03 Jhanki Chatti- Yamunotri - Syana Chatti (5kms by Road & 13kms Trek (one side) Early morning trek start to Yamunotri & Back to Jhankichatti and then 03 kms trek to Phul Chatti and drive to Syana Chatti. Overnight stay at Syana Chatti. Hanuman Chatti: The confluence of Hanuman Ganga & Yamuna River. Yamunotri Temple: Maharani Gularia of Jaipur built the temple in the 19th Century. It was destroyed twice in the present century and rebuilt again. Surya Kund: There are a Number of thermal springs in the vicinity of the temple, which flows into numerous pools. The most important of these is Surya Kund. Divya Shila: A rock pillar, worshipped before entering the Yamunotri Temple.

Day 04 Syanachatti to Gangotri - Drive to Gangotri via Barkot, Uttarkashi. Check in Hotel, Night Halt. Uttarkashi: Situated at the bank of river Bhagirathi. The temple of Lord Vishwanath is located here where a massive iron trident is erected. The other important temples situated here are Ekadash Rudra, Bhairav, Gyaneshwar and Goddess Kuteti Devi.

Day 05 Gangotri-Uttarkashi (200 kms/7hr) - Early morning visit the Temple and then drive to Uttarkashi, overnight stay at Uttarkashi. Gangotri Temple: The temple, constructed by the Gorkha General Amar Singh Thapa in the 18th Century, is situated on the right bank of Bhagirathi. Submerged Shivling: Submerged in the river, this natural rock Shivling is the place where, according to mythology Lord Shiva sat when he received the Ganga in his matted lock. It is visible in winter months when water level decreases. Kedar Ganga Sangam: Around 100 Yards from the Ganga Temple flows the river Kedar Ganga. Starting from the Kedar Valle, this river meets the Bhagirathi on its left bank. Gaumukh: The Gaumukh Glacier is the source of Bhagirathi & is held in the high esteem by the devout that do not miss the opportunity to have a holy dip in the BONE CHILLING icy water. It is 18 km from Gangotri by trek.

Day 06 - Uttarkashi to Gurikund (250kms) - After early breakfast, drive to Gurikund. Check in Hotel, night halt. Rudraprayag: It is the confluence of river Mandakini and river Alaknanda. Temples: Rudranath and Chamunda Devi, Koteshwar Temple (3 Kms

Day 07 - Gurikund to Kedarnath (14kms Trek one side) - Trek start from Gaurikund to Kedarnath. Check in Hotel. Gaurikund: At a distance of 5kms from Sonprayag and at an altitude of 1982 meters. One can take bath in the hot water pond here and visit theGauri Temple. This is the place where Goddess Parvati meditated to attain Lord Shiva. It is the base for a trek to Kedarnath.

Day 08 - Kedarnath to Joshimath vis Chopta (14Kms Down Trek). - Trek down to Gaurikund from Kedarnath. Drive to Joshimath from Gaurikund. Check in Hotel at Joshimath. Night Halt.

Day 06 : Hanuman Chatti / Netwar Panoramic scenes and the drive along the river Yamuna in western Garhwal. The region is better known for the polyandrous society.

Day 07 : Netwar / Taluka This part of the Har-ki-Dun trek over the next few days is of great interest. Motorable road under construction. The forests are rich in wildlife and is veritable paradise for bird watchers and nature lovers. The trek is through dense forests of chestnuts, walnuts, willows, chinars and a variety of conifer trees.
